Woke up yesterday feeling really oogy, to the point where I actually called in sick to work. Did some reading on the couch, ran a couple errands (including buying
new running shoes.) Felt good enough in the afternoon to try the shoes out for a little run. Didn't feel really strong, but it felt good to be out. Weird running in the afternoon, though - I'm such a morning runner. It was probably a mistake, though - when I got home, my head was pounding and I felt all yucky again. Oh, well - more couch time...

This morning, though, I felt fine. Did an early gym session with an interval workout on the treadmill. Strikingly similar to Sunday's speedwork, I was supposed to do 6 x 1K at 3:55 per K. I translated that to 4:00 intervals at 6:10-6:15 pace - still pretty fast for me. Surprised myself, though - I got 4 of them done at that pace. And felt pretty good the whole way!

Oh, and the new shoes feel great - much better.

I know it, it does make a difference when you switch from Am to afternoon/night runs.
Nothing like a new pair of shoes... Sigh. Lucky you! :)
