In other news: I'm back on another of those 19-day training cycles leading up to the Trinidad to Clam Beach Run. It amazes me how having a plan to train to motivates me. I can make a plan for myself, write it all down and everything, but then I feel like I can fudge it. If it's a plan that someone else has made, though, I feel like I'm letting them down if I miss a day - even if they obviously have NO idea that I'm using it. Funny.
Also still tracking progress in the Virtual Run Across America. I'm finally out of Maine, blew through Rhode Island, and am just outside New Haven, CT.

I'm amazed that you can walk yet after those stairs Sunday, let alone get in such an awesome workout! Yay Turi! :)
Oh, and BTW, you goaded me first, so now we're even. Ha ha! :)
Hey, I just mentioned the program - no goading...
LMAO! Are you going to do the 200 sit up challenge too? :P
One challenge at a time, eh? ;)
Ha I quit after one week on the push ups. Let me know how it goes!
Oh, we definitely have to do the 200 sit up challenge next. :) Ha ha!
i think i'll "test" myself over the weekend, but before indulging in mass quantities if liquid bread! i probably won't follow the official training plan, but if i can do, say, 80 now...i'll emphasize chest workouts for a few weeks and see if i can get to 100. I'll guess i'm at about 60-70 on an average day, maybe 80 on a good day. We shall see... I've never done as many as possible, but i've done the Marine thing...see how many you can do in 60 seconds. I was able to do between 60 and 70 pushups in a minute in college and in late 2008 (good sign). While i may be able to pump out a few more, I may have to get some of the Clear to get to 100!
