Day 6 - Reverse psychology

I was planning on sleeping in today, and going for a nice leisurely run sometime when it was actually light out. Best-laid plans. My wife had a bachelorette party last night (we're in the last half of our 30's, how many more of those will there be?) and didn't get in until 4 AM. I let her in, then couldn't sleep, so I decided I might as well get my run in.

I didn't feel like coming up with a new route, though, and I had said I wouldn't run the same route twice, so I just did my loop from last Tuesday, but in reverse. Funny thing about doing a route that you always do one way, backwards - gives you new respect for the terrain. In just 3 miles, I thought a few times "Wow, this is much more of a downhill/uphill than I thought."

Plus, who knows what the weather will be like tomorrow? I think it's not supposed to rain in Sunday, but even this morning, I had some windy, spitting rain. Nevada rain, though, that dries right after it hits you.

Two weeks of straight summer Nevada rain! Apparently this hasn't happened in 40 years. I totally know what you mean about feeling weird running a course backward- I feel funny running the opposite direction on thee track!
