Freedom Run 2016

Idlewild Park, Reno, NV

"The annual Freedom Run will be held on July 2nd, 2016 and is an annual fundraiser to support Veteran’s Programs at a local non-profit behavioral healthcare agency the Ridge House.  Last year, we had 200 participants participating in 3 distances as they rocked with the band Beatles Flashback.  The band will be BACK for 2016 and we are excited to invite you to start your Independence Day Weekend RIGHT!"

Run to the Beach Lake Tahoe 5K & 10K

North Tahoe Regional Park

"Run, walk or stroll the 5K or 10K course. Starting at the North Tahoe Regional Park the courses offer scenic and fun trails. The 5K is a quick course and the 10K has a signature climb. Come out with your friends and family and start your July 4th with a run, walk, or stroll to the Beach.
Parking is located at the North Tahoe Regional Park. There is a nominal parking fee. After the race walk back to your car, less than a mile.
The finish is on the Beach at the Tahoe Vista Recreation Area featuring a great beach for swimming! Tahoe Vista and North Lake Tahoe are great places to spend your July 4th weekend. Fireworks are scheduled for the evening of July 3rd!"


Tahoe Firecracker Trail Trek

Incline Middle School, Incline Village, NV

"Join us for the seventh annual Tahoe Firecracker Trail Trek, to benefit the Incline High School Boys and Girls Cross Country team. The Race will take place on the 4th of July as part of the Red White and Tahoe Blue activities. With separate races for kids and adults, this event is perfect for the entire family. Grab your racing/running/walking shoes for a great kick off to your 4th of July festivities!"


Truckee Firecracker Mile

Truckee, CA.

"A 1 mile, gravity fed, fun event for all ages & abilities. The run goes along the parade route down Donner Pass Road from US Bank to the Train Station. Be sure to arrive early as parking can be hard to find. Runners are cheered by the thousands of parade spectators."

"2016 brings the 35th Donner Lake Triathlon (DLT) to Truckee California. For years the Donner Lake Triathlon has been and remains the favorite triathlon of many. It’s no wonder as the event features an epic setting, a beautiful and challenging course, and is located very near Truckee and North Lake Tahoe. 2016 also marks the 6th annual Donner Lake Kids Triathlon and the 4rd annual Donner Lake Half Triathlon. Squaw Valley Mountain Run

Squaw Valley, CA

"For the past 35 years, on the first Saturday of August, hundreds runners and hikers have made the annual pilgrimage to the top of Squaw Valley to enjoy a great workout with stunning views of Lake Tahoe and the High Sierra. Starting at the base of Squaw Valley USA (6200’) the course climbs the 3.6 mile mountain run to High Camp (8200’) where awards, raffle, music, light refreshments & beer are provided.  Participants can choose to RUN or take a more leisurely pace and HIKE, or Nordic walk (hike with poles). For the less energetic – let the cable car do the 2000 foot elevation gain & join our knowledgeable guides for the beautiful FLOWER WALK on easy rolling terrain. "
